Good to know

Questions about food and calorie tracking.

A few useful details before you start.

Still have a question? Contact support.

Is Food Tracker a free calorie tracker?

Yes. Food Tracker is free to use and works with the free versions of ChatGPT and Claude as well as paid plans.

Is Food Tracker a free alternative to MyFitnessPal?

Yes. You never search a food database or type a portion; your assistant works that out from a photo, a voice note or a line of text. There is no premium tier and nothing is held back for a subscription.

How do I add a meal to my food diary?

Describe your meal to your connected assistant. It estimates the foods and portions, shows you the entry, then sends it to Food Tracker when you ask it to save.

Can I track calories from a food photo or voice note?

You can send your assistant a plate photo, voice note or text description where those features are available. It estimates the meal details for you to review before saving.

Are the calorie and nutrition numbers exact?

No. They are estimates based on the foods, portions and preparation details described. Use them to understand everyday patterns, not as medical measurements.

What can I see in my food tracker?

Review calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fibre and micronutrient estimates by meal and day, plus weekly patterns and weight entries. Micronutrients are compared with Indian RDAs from ICMR-NIN.

Can I use Food Tracker around the world?

Food Tracker is for individual users wherever ChatGPT or Claude is available to them, except the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the UK. Assistant availability and features vary by country and account.

Does Food Tracker use AI or sell my data?

Your account data is stored in a database in Mumbai, India. No AI runs inside Food Tracker: your connected assistant estimates meals, while Food Tracker stores and presents your entries. Your data is not sold, and deleting your account deletes your entries.

Does Food Tracker work with ChatGPT and Claude?

Yes. Connect Food Tracker to ChatGPT or Claude, then describe meals in the assistant you already use. Claude Code and Cursor can connect with an API key.
